His story:

I’m from Kentucky.  My roommate threw me out an I became homeless.  2 months ago. I came out here to meet somebody and I don’t know where he’s at.  I had a job at a factory, I was making 15-16 dollars an hour. But I lost my job.

Average day:

I survive every day.  I’m lucky I’m alive. This is not by choice.  It’s my first time doing this. I’m 46 years old.

Homelessness in America:

Not enough services for homeless people.  Not all states have programs. This one does.

Community:

I have a few friends, yes.

What is home for you?

A roof over my head.  A job. I just want to make enough money to move back to Kentucky.  I don’t beg people for anything. If they wanna help, they help. It’s not easy, you just gotta survive.  Gotta have patience. That’s about it. The only thing I don’t like is taking money from people. But I gotta survive some way.  Just gotta learn how to survive.
