“2005, my fiancé died in a helicopter accident.  Sent me into a tailspin.  Came out here in 2009 – had a great job.  Working for a 5-star hotel.  But then the economy kinda crashed and I ended up on the streets.  Been runnin’ all over the country since then.

Once you’re out on the streets, it’s pretty hard to get back.  It’s rough.  Almost like you gotta drink to survive out here.

Either you got money or you don’t.  The high side or the low side.  You know, I think you pretty much need connections.  I almost got used to this lifestyle.  It’s been on and off.  On and off.

If I quit drinking I’m sure I could climb out of this. Alcohol has not been kind to me.  But it is what it is.”
